Return & Refund Policy

At Lavish Home Improvements, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. This Return and Refund Policy outlines your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) and how we handle returns, refunds, and exchanges for purchases made via www.lavishhomeimprovements.com.au.


1. Australian Consumer Guarantees

You are entitled to a replacement, refund, or repair if a product you purchase from us:

  • Is faulty or defective
  • Does not match the description
  • Is not of acceptable quality
  • Is unfit for purpose

These rights apply automatically and cannot be excluded.


2. Change of Mind Returns

We accept change of mind returns within 14 days of delivery if:

  • The item is unused, unopened, and in its original packaging
  • You have proof of purchase (e.g. order confirmation or receipt)

Important:

  • Return shipping is at your cost unless the product is faulty
  • Refunds for change of mind exclude original shipping charges
  • Some products cannot be returned due to hygiene or customization (e.g. custom benchtops, opened paint, made-to-order furniture)

3. Damaged or Faulty Products

If your product arrives damaged, faulty, or incorrect:

  1. Notify us within 7 days of delivery
  2. Provide your order number, a description of the issue, and clear photos
  3. We’ll arrange a replacement, repair, or full refund (including return shipping) if confirmed faulty

4. How to Return an Item

To return a product:

  • Include: full name, order number, reason for return, and relevant photos if applicable
  • We will provide return instructions and address

Returns sent without approval may not be processed.


5. Refunds

Refunds are issued once returned items are received and inspected. You will be notified by email when your refund has been processed.

Refunds are issued to the original payment method and may take 3–10 business days to appear, depending on your bank or payment provider.


6. Exclusions & Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned unless faulty:

  • Clearance or sale items
  • Custom-made or special-order products
  • Items that have been used, installed, damaged by you, or are missing original packaging
